"After the yoga class my headache was gone"

This is what my yoga student told me today after teaching my Sivananda Yoga class to the full group of excited yogis and yoginis. After the class we continued talking with one of my student and she admitted that because of a bad headache she had earlier she almost skipped tonight's yoga class as she thought that it could get worse. But instead, after the class her headache was cured and she felt fabulous.

Thus she said to me that it is sad how often we Western people are resorting to drugs when searching for a cure to our discomfort and stress. She said that we shopuld definately use these amazing ancient methods like yoga and pranayama breathing exercises in order to reduce our stress levels and some of our common ailments. I couldn't agree more.

Also two ladies who had been struggeling a bit with the breathing exercises commented how they felt always much more mobile, flexible and energized after each yoga class they took.

I was thrilled, it is for sure that the best way to notice all the amazing health benefits of yogic exercises is to try it yourself. And no one needs to be flexible or know how to do all these exercises right away. These two ladies told me that during the class they had laughed to themselves as they struggled with their breathing exercises and that surely made it even a better experience for us all.

You are always more than welcome to laugh or cry during my yoga classes. Life is now, we should feel it, breathe trough it, laugh a lot and live every moment 110% and preferably commit to 1000 mistakes while trying to do things that make us feel good and can even cure us!
