I am here to offer you fun, easygoing and natural ways and tools to more stress-free, balanced and healthier lifestyle. You can heal yourself, and it will be an honour for me to be your guide as you are taking steps towards happier, more peaceful, content and loving you.
I have studied yoga, Ayurveda, Reiki, Shiatsu and meditation in India, Spain, and Finland. I am an Yoga Alliance certified Yoga teacher RYT200. My teaching style is peaceful but it can also be dynamic as my intention is to bring my students present in the current moment while deepening their connection to self.
At yoga studios my classes range from vinyasa flows and power yoga classes to more restorative hatha yoga, Yin yoga, Yin & Yang and Sivananda yoga classes. I practice many forms of yoga, meditation and pranayamas but I am highly influenced by the teachings of Swami Vishnudevananda, , B. K. S. Iyengar along with several other teachers and yoga styles.
Currently I am living in Finland and teaching yoga at severals yoga schools in Helsinki and Espoo area; Joogakoulu Shanti , Studio Yin ,Studio Sfinksi, Yoogaia. I was working as the head yoga teacher of Studio Yin Turku before. I also work as a Shiatsu-and Reiki therapist.
I have been living abroad (France, England and Spain) for several years before, and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in development studies from the University of East Anglia (UK), and a Master’s degree in social science from the University of Helsinki. Before starting as a full time yoga instructor I worked for different NGO's and organizations internationally.
My yoga path started already as a child when I enrolled first time to yoga classes with my best friend. I was dancing many years and I still love to dance as one way to express my self. I went back to yoga after living some time in a hectic metropolis city and yoga practice immediately helped me to recover from the stressful day and rejuvenate. I also had so bad neck, shoulder and back pains caused by sitting in the office too many hours that I had to go to the massage theraphy every now and then to "fix it", but it always came back, untill I started the yoga classes again. Yoga also helped as I used to suffer occasional insomnia. No more intense pain and problems to sleep. I was thrilled. My yogapractise also made me to think more about what I was puttin into my body/eating. It really helped me to connect deeply with myself and that made me to realize that I want to work in more creative ways and that I want to spread the wellbeing that the yoga, meditation and healty but delicious diet had brought to me.
Nowdays I feel so light and much more in balance in so many ways. I love teaching yoga and raising awareness regarding a healthy diet and lifestyle. Every day is like a big adventure to me, I hope you wanna join me and let me guide you trough the time you feel you need a guidance on your path towards more balanced and energizing lifestyle. We are all energy, just let it flow trough you as the lightness of every breath you take.
“I think that it is essential to accept yourself and your practice as it is in each moment. During my yoga classes you will learn to love and nourish your body, mind and spirit and you will be guided to listen to yourself as your best expert in life”.
I feel so honoured and excited for you to take these steps with me - congratulations for a great choice!
Your Ayurvedic Body Type and your diet
Ayurveda and yoga both emphasize "right diet" as the foundation of all healing therapies. Food is the most important and also the first form of medicine. There is a famous saying in Ayurveda that states " if right diet is followed, no medicines are necessary. If wrong diet is followed, no medicines can help." The most fundamental principle of Ayurveda is that of tridosha, or the three humors. All matter is composed of the five elements of earth, water, fire, wind and space.
"I just did my first online yoga class, and for once, I remained in cart. During the gym classes I have not been really able to follow, and therefore the passion for yoga and other similar classes has been missing. Now, because of a good instructor and her clear instructions, I have found that spark, thank you!"
